Annual Daily News Food Drive

Each year, City Harvest and the Daily News collect non-perishable food to stock shelves at 500 soup kitchens, food pantries and other community food programs across the city. Running a food drive helps City Harvest provide good food during the holiday season when so many of our neighbors struggle to put food on their tables.

Once again, GNA participated in the popular food drive that the NY Daily News organizes with the NYPD and FDNY.

GNA purchased large quantities of food from local supermarkets, and brought all food to the City Harvest dropoff center, at our 13th Police Precinct, for later distribution within the city.

Earlier this year, GNA worked with City Harvest at the Union Square Greenmarket, gathering food.
